Today's consumer wants to know:

  • about who you are
  • how you can help them
  • who else knows about you
  • how you can add value to them
  • It is only then, will they consider buying into you, not buying from you.

In addition, today's consumer, yes, that includes you and me, watch more videos; listen to more audio and share more information online than ever before.

So, it's not just a good idea, but is CRITICAL  that you learn how to partner with Youtube, Google, iTunes and Amazon, creating videos, podcasts, blogs and even an ebook.

So how do you:

  1. record a message, in video, placing it on youtube.
  2. extract the audio from the video and upload that to iTunes or Soundcloud
  3. arrange for the audio transcription to be transcribed into "the written words" allow you to place/post that as a:

- blog post

- linkedin post

- facebook post

- Instagram post

or whichever social and online channel you prefer.

Taking this a step further!

By creating a series of related video (which you can convert to podcasts and blog/social posts) you can then take those related sequences of "value add" information on your expertise, a place that into an ebook/physical book.

IMAGINE: Recording a series of related videos about your expertise, your products, services or perhaps your personal brand, turning it into a series for your:

- youtube channel

- iTunes channel

- blog page

and also converting the series into chapters of a short eBook.

The Advance of Smart:

The Evolution of a Keynote speech to an eBook to an Online Course.

THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS:

 In early 2014, I was asked to present at a photography conference in Australia. 

I spoke on Behavioural Marketing and the evolution of yesterday's customer to the now mobile smart device savvy consumer. 

I recorded the audio from my keynote speech, including the question and answer session. I then added the audio from 8 training videos I had recorded previously on the subject, asking my transcription team to transcribe my videos audio into what would turn out to be around 200+ pages of text.

THE eBOOK:

I spent a further 3 full days compiling the 200+ pages into a manuscript of my book, The Advance of Smart, arranging for a ePublisher to assist me in turning a keynote address I gave into my first book.

The book covers my journey from leaving Perth Australia as an insurance salesman and going to London England to seek and start a career as an IT Project Manager.

No experience in the country or the profession, no qualifications as was a pre-requisite for any project management related work.

How did I market myself to be able to start up my own IT consultancy inside of 3 years

THE COURSE:

The book contains 8 videos and 15 worksheets associated with Behavioural Marketing, engaging the London UK marketplace.

So, after turning my keynote address into an eBook, I accompanied the eBook with a course, The Advance of Smart.

THE COURSE: How to Write Your Book
